One thing I really love about the Gsuite applications is that they can be used across all subject areas in countless ways to enhance understanding, especially for those of us who do not teach what are considered “core” classes. Using these apps throughout an entire school can bind us as teachers in a way that truly lends credence to the “it takes a village” mindset and will allow for students to draw connections between our curricula organically.
Here is an interactive worksheet I like to use in general music. It asks students to sort orchestral instruments into their respective family groups and label them. This requires no typing and can be easily used with younger students. If you distribute this to students through Google Classroom don’t forget to click “make a copy for each student” in the assignment drop-down menu!
Let me know how it goes!
